Delighted to report that the 1987 League has selected Charles Martland to win the batting award for Division 4 in 2018. This is well deserved with Charles putting in some match winning performances with the bat this Season.

On hearing of the Award, Martland said "Naturally I'm very pleased to have been given this award. My batting has been far more consistent this season and to be recognised by the league is an extremely rewarding conclusion.

It's been a great year for the 5s, with strengths we can take into next year and a team that continues to improve and develop. Being able to captain a side at this club is something I'm hugely proud of and many others have played a massive role in that success.

I hope this award can be a springboard - I would have thought international honours alongside Ethan and Luke can't be too far away! "
