Luke Hollman was the top wicket taker as the England Young Lions made a winning start to their one-day Tri-Series in South Africa on 30 November, beating Namibia by 129 runs in a rain-affected match in Potchefstroom.

The Young Lions hit 290 for five in a game that had been reduced to 39 overs per side. Luke was not required to bat.

Namibia were all out for 161 in their reply, with Worcestershire’s Dillon Pennington and Hampshire’s Tom Scriven doing the early damage before Luke took four for 42 off 8 overs with his leg-spin.

Luke was presented with his Young Lions caps by batting coach James Taylor before the match.

The Midd's Ethan Bamber who is also in the Young Lions' Squad did not play in the Namibia match.

The Young Lions face South Africa in a day-night game on Sunday in their next game in the Tri-Series, which is part of the preparations for the ICC Under-19s World Cup in New Zealand in early 2018.
