Midd through to quarter finals of Middlesex T20 Cup

On a glorious Bank Holiday, the area rounds of the T20 were hosted by North Midd, the current County Champs.

In the morning match, Hornsey were confined to around 100. The Midd knocked these off comfortably thanks to fine batting from Joe Cracknell, Luke Hollman and Zulfy.

Next up were Highgate who were in the play off because Crouch End were unbale to raise a team. The Midd posted an impressive 195 for 5 with both Cracknell and Hollman hitting 50s. They were well supported by Evan Flowers and Max Harris. In reply, Highgate were never really in contention.

So we now move on to the quarter finals which are likely to be played on 28 May - venue and oppo to be confirmed.

Great to report that of the team against Hornsey, 9 were home grow; against Highgate, 8 were home grown.

Excellent weekend finished with chicken supper on the outfield.
