Beautiful and very emotional

Here is Alex Hill's report on Mustard’s Service held in Bolton on Wednesday –

"It was a really tough day. I think that the family have taken strength from the messages they have received from a number of people at The Midd and knowing how important and integral Mustard was to such enjoyable part of all of our lives at NMCC in the early / mid 2000s (and beyond). They understood why not everyone that wanted to be there was able to attend and are thinking about finding a time to remember Andy with us all in the near future.

The service was beautiful and very emotional. Extremely well attended by family and friends from all of his friendship groups (school, cricket clubs, football, university, local area, music, housemates…). Lots of bittersweet chuckles thinking of the good times were had, happy memories shared, all accompanied by a fair few tears. Music at the service included ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Rock and Roll Star’.

North Middlesex CC was represented in person by Mark Glazebrook, Warwick Ailes, and Alex Hill in their NMCC ties. Also wearing an NMCC tie on the day was Mustard's father, Ian, who had donned Andy's. A floral cricketing tribute to Andy from the Club (shown on the title photo) accompanied him. The message from the Club read: ‘With memories of many happy days with our good friend Andy on the cricket fields of Middlesex, from his team-mates at North Middlesex CC’.

RIP Andrew Sylvek Coleman".
