Club great Joel Hughes needs just one more wicket to become the Middlesex Premier League's leading seamer of all time.
Joel, who captained the club to the Premier League title in 2019, moved level with former Brondesbury quick Ben Claypole on Saturday by picking up a four-fer against Ealing at The Midd.
Against Twickenham two weeks ago, he became just the second-ever seamer to 250 Premier League wickets and has since moved onto 256 for a share of the record.
Remarkably, Joel has the best bowling average (14.8) out of every bowler to have taken more than 100 Prem wickets and the best strike rate (31.6) of the top 20 – it's a quite outrageous record.
It's been terrific to have him back fit and spearheading the 1st XI again this year after a couple of frustrating seasons with injuries.
