Early Season update -

Seniors

The 1s’ Season started with a 50/50 run fest against Totteridge Millhillians on the 2s’ square last Saturday with our new Overseas, Matt Moran making his debut. The oppo posted an impressive 334 for 3 with 3 players retiring not out, including opener Jordan Bethel who hit an imperious 110.

Thanks to some well judged batting from Luke Hollman (111 not out including 9 sixes), Evan Flowers (56), Fergal Walter (45), Matt Moran (35), David Heavyside (30) and Dave O’Sullivan (29) the Midd overhauled the target 7 down with 23 balls to spare.

Our 2s also started with a win against the same opposition by 89 runs. Batting first we posted 289 in our 45 overs with Tristan Lundquist making 71 on debut and other top scorers being Elliot Lowe (45) and Ben Owen (41). The oppo scored 200 for 9 in their 45 overs.

Senior action continues today (Saturday 30 April) with our 1s (away) , 2s, 3s (both home) and 4s (away) all playing Hampstead. Tomorrow we play Saffron Walden in the National Cup at the Midd with a 1pm start.
