Yes/No/Wait!!!!!!

The first game of the season saw the visit of Stoke Newington.
Bowling first, Ben makes a great start with a wicket in the first over: played on. Lots of energy/enthusiasm and noise in the field which was great to see. Tom starts with what look like an outside Edge not given by the umpire brilliant bowling beats him again on the second ball.
Fantastic teamwork lots of backing up, lots of encouragement. Some great fielding from Oscar to save four, well done Oscar.

Stoke Newington build their innings with a mixture of good running between the wickets and the odd boundary.

Sachin gets the second wicket LBW: second shout in his first over must have been plum. Oscar saves another four, fantastic Fielding.
Akash bowls and brilliant over: one dropped catch, everything good line and length, well done Akash.

Alex gets the third wicket, a good ball which Sachin takes grabs the catch followed soon after by Euan's first wicket of the season, this time Ben taking the catch.
Robbie gets a wicket in the last over - well done boys 100 in 20 overs for five wickets taken - brilliant effort well done.

Sachin opening with Robbie who gets us off the mark with a tickle around the corner. Steady start -7 off 3 overs but looking solid. Sachin and Rabbie looking to up the tempo now and then to take some singles to get the score moving.

Sachin gets caught - a miss timed drive. Ben joins Robbie - both struggling with their running and scoring a little slow but we're still in and so in with a good chance. Still just one wicket it down at 27 from the first 9 overs, Bens trying to push on. Robbie's out - good effort stayed in for a few overs and saw off the good bowlers. Our first run out of the season - Cameron's out and Ben retired, Euan batting amazingly well - really running well - well done Euan. 5 overs to go and 40 needed, a long shot now but still possible. Finished 20 overs on 85 - 15 short but a really good performance from the middle and lower order.

Man of the match goes to Oscar - some really good Fielding stopping balls on the boundary, good throwing in and excellent bowling with good line and length - well done Oscar. On to Primrose Hill next up and with some improved running between the wickets it ll be a really close game.
