North Midd batted first and scored 94 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs. Stand out batsman was Charlie with an enterprising 18 including 3 splendid 4s through mid wicket to post a respectable target. Primrose Hill hit the winning runs in the 19th over for the loss of 5 wickets with "extras" contributing a massive 42 to their score.
Positives - good team spirit shown throughout with players supporting each other well in the field. Game awareness shown by Charlie at the end of the innings targeting the short leg side boundary. Some good catches - sadly one being off a no ball. Excellent maiden over bowled by Ami at the death.
Things to work on -
Batting - hitting the bad balls - far too many misses - vital to get bat on ball; running between the wickets - poor or non existent backing up - poor or plainly crazy calling; not pressurising the fielders enough - so many potential singles/second runs not taken.
Bowling - cut down on extras by bowling a better line and length.
Fielding - improve ground fielding - lots of runs conceded through legs or because of poor backing up.
