N Midd 15 As get off to a winning start

North Midd win by 33.
First match of the season and we had a full strenght team out but there was plenty of rustiness in view despite a good winter of training.

The Midd batted first and posted 99 for 4 including a huge six (lime and soda moment) from Alex S and a steady 33 from Tom who was ably assited by some energetic running from Nico.

Primrose Hill started well until Nikhil took a quick couple of wickets. Will Frais kep very well in his first time behind the stumps catching one of three wickets taken by Harry who bowled a fantastic spell with figures of 5 overs three for five. Good bowling from Jack and Freddie (1 for 8 off 2 - well bowled) left one more for Nikhil (3 for 15 off three).

Man of the match - Harry Hayward who bowled 18 darts and could have ended up with more.

Monday's cup match against AP has been conceded and we are in effect in the Semi Final for the East Region against eithe Finchley or Highgate. Hopefully we will find out the oponent soon as the fixture list gets quite congested.

Next match is 8th May against Hornsey and three more follow shortly afterwards.
