The U13s Girls led by Isla came away from Gunnersbury today with one win and one loss from their two games.

The first game against Stoke was relatively regulation win as we chased down Stoke's 75 runs to win by more than 30.
Great contributions from the whole team with some super catching meaning that Stoke's innings never really got going.
Our bowling was also accurate from the off meaning that we restricted the number of extras we offered to them.

Gaining experience in this format is very important and we went into the second game learning lots from the first game and determined to be more positive with the bat. Batting first against Actonians we reached a score of 99 at the close of the innings.
Actonians were relatively more experienced at the format accounting for the small difference in the scores at the end of the game. Some better catching would of taken this game even closer but irrespective of that, for our team of mixed ages, from 10-13 year old to go into the last bowl with a chance of winning the game was a great effort.

Very proud of the girls. Lots of great cricket played.
