From All Stars Cricket to the Kia Super League..

North Midd provides cricket throughout all the girls age groups. The Girls Cricket Teams include girls from Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate and East Finchley. Younger girls have joined North Midd both via the clubs All Stars Cricket programme and via its ”minis” on a Sunday morning. In 2018 North Midd entered teams in all three Middlesex girls leagues and entered every girls cricket competition in Middlesex. All three teams were successful:
Under 11 Girls
Finished the season as joint runners-up in North Division, and only missed out on qualifying for County Finals Day on average runs scored. They also played in the Lady Taverners Festival, played friendly matches and played in all three B20 Festivals for younger under 11 girls.
Under 13 Girls
They played friendly matches and finished the season as runners-up in North Division. The team qualified for County Finals Day, where they were runners-up.
Under 15 Girls
Finished the season as runners-up in North Division, played friendly matches and also played in the Bushy Park Under 16 Girls Cricket Festival.
Mixed Girls and Boys Teams
Some of the older girls also played in North Midd ‘boys teams’ in the Middlesex Junior Leagues.
Girls Summer Cricket Practices
Summer practices have been held on Sunday mornings at North Midd’s ground in Crouch End which has modern nets and great playing surfaces. All girls cricket practices were led by ECB Level Two coaches, and are supported by the clubs Head Coach and Juniors Secretary.
At one practice this summer, Gayatri Gole and Emma Albery from Middlesex Womens First Team coached the North Midd Girls Teams.
Girls involvement in the Club
Some of the older girls helped to run a primary school cricket competition at North Midd.

One of the older girls has used their involvement in North Midd to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Awards by helping to coach the “minis” on a Sunday morning.

North Midd Academy
North Midd’s Academy ran sessions for North Midd boys and girls last Winter, and will also run academy sessions for boys and girls this winter.
Girls Regional Cricket
North Midd has players in all three age groups of Girls Regional Cricket and its coaches are involved in coaching and managing North Division regional teams.
Girls County Cricket
North Midd had players in the Middlesex Under 11 and Under 13 Girls Winter Squads, a player in the 2018 Middlesex Under 13 Girls Summer Squad and has hosted a Middlesex Under 11 Girls training session.
Winter Practices
North Midd will run girls team practices at weekends at a local school gym for each age group over the winter and will enter teams in the Middlesex Girls Indoor Cricket Competitions
Women’s Cricket
In 2018 North Midd has increased its involvement in Women’s Cricket:

  • Several of the Under 15 girls have been training with the North Midd Senior Teams
  • A number of the older girls have been playing Women’s Cricket for a nearby club
  • Gayatri Gole, who plays for North Midd Senior Teams, has also been playing for Middlesex Women’s First Team. She was a member of the Middlesex team that won the 2018 Vitality Women’s T20 Final and was also a member of the Surrey Stars squad that won the 2018 Kia Super League.

Membership
The number of girls who are members of North Midd has grown again over the last year, if your daughter would like to join us please contact: nmcc.colts@gmail.com
Thank you
A big thank you to all the coaches, helpers and parents who have made all this girls cricket possible
What’s Next?
We are also actively exploring how best to continue development of our older Girls. Medium term we are interested in becoming involved in Women’s Cricket and in the shorter term are talking to Middlesex about U17 cricket. Next summer we want to continue to grow by providing coaching that is tailored for the girls and women’s abilities.
