Young Midd star is one of three long term signings

“In Ethan, Nathan and Robbie we have three with extremely bright futures who will play a big part in helping us to achieve our ambitions in years to come
- Angus Fraser, Middlesex Cricket's MD of Cricket

Many congratulations to Ethan, one of the Midd's most popular home grown young players on this important career milestone. As we said when Ethan first signed pro terms for the County, he has played for us since he was a small boy. Ethan has been and continues to be an exemplary member - always willing to help and always grateful for help received.
He has set a tremendous standard for our Juniors to follow. We just hope that his new status won't prevent him from turning out for the Midd 1s when his other commitments allow.

" MIDDLESEX CRICKET TIES UP THREE FURTHER PLAYER CONTRACT EXTENSIONS

Middlesex Cricket is today delighted to announce that three further players have put pen to paper on long-term contract extensions of their own.

With a new era of cricket starting under Head Coach Stuart Law this year, the club are delighted to have secured the long-term service of three fast emerging talents - Ethan Bamber, Nathan Sowter and Robbie White.

Both Bamber and White enjoyed breakthrough years in red-ball cricket in 2018 - making their Championship debuts for the club last term, whilst Sowter continues to impress, having established himself as one of the club’s most exciting white-ball talents in recent seasons.

Ethan Bamber commented: “I’m over the moon to be able to stay at this brilliant club and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

White said: “I’m delighted to extend my stay at Middlesex – a club I’ve been at since I was just nine years old. I’m really looking forward to continuing my development here and to helping contribute towards success in the coming years.”

Sowter commented: “I’m really excited to extend my time with Middlesex and am looking forward to a bright future at the Home of Cricket where we can hopefully be a part of some really good times ahead.”

Angus Fraser, Middlesex Cricket’s Managing Director of Cricket added:

“The high-profile signings and extensions will inevitably grab the greater headlines, but it is equally as important as a club that we are developing young talented cricketers.

“In Ethan, Nathan and Robbie we have three with extremely bright futures who will play a big part in helping us to achieve our ambitions in years to come.”
