Middlesex County CC Review 2018

Here are some extracts from the Review circulated to all Middlesex County Club members –

In his Report on the Middlesex County League 2018, Nick Brown, Secretary of the League, says

“North Middlesex CC, probably the most talented and youngest team in the Premier League will reflect on 2018 as being disappointing [Ed's note - because we only finished only third], with England U19 all-rounder Luke Hollman shining with bat and ball along with James Parslow the leading run scoring overseas player in the Premier League and Tom Nicoll a hard hitting and big spinning leg spin bowler, they have plenty of ability and a superb junior section which no doubt will deliver more in the coming years. They were no doubt hampered with an injury to seam bowling captain Joel Hughes and losing England seam bowler Ethan Bamber firstly to injury then latterly to Middlesex CCC commitments. The Junior administration/coaching staff at North Middlesex deserve special recognition as during the winter of 2018, both Ethan and Luke represented England in the ICC U19 World Cup. It is perhaps unprecedented that one club provided two players in the same England U19 team .”

In their Report on Middlesex Youth Cricket, lead coaches Rory Coutts and Andy Wagner say
“A highlight of the one-day fixtures, was a spectacular 207 not out from 130 balls with 24 fours and 9 sixes by North Midd’s Joe Cracknell. Joe’s one day form across the competition continued with 355 runs scored in four innings at an average of 118.”
