Extract from full match report - "Nick Marlon Strongman Brand, son of the esteemed Robert Brand, went ballistic, hitting all around the ground powerfully. He went from 20-50 in the space of 4 overs and continued this rich vein of hitting until the drinks break, the middies needing 34 for victory and Brand requiring 30 for what would be a maiden midd ton. Brando kept going, the highlight of his post drink onslaught being two consecutive inside out boundary fours over extra cover off the returning opening bowler. On 91 Brando skyed one straight to midd on, his head dropped and he stayed his ground. What happened next truly cemented the schoolyard theme to this match report, mid on dropped the ball, but both batsmen were at the striking end, the fielder subsequently picked the ball up, hurled it at the stumps from five meters away, missed, and the batters ran through for a single, disaster extraordinarily avoided. From then on it was plain sailing, Brando reached his ton, and subsequently hit the last ball for four to win the game. "

Under 16 Josh on his senior debut batted at 3 and, after a slightly uppish start, proceeded to smack the bowling to all parts. Clean hitting, found the gaps perfectly and 18 boundaries overall. An incredible knock which was part of a match winning partnership of 155 with Under 14 Bish, who looked elegant and effortless in compiling a second straight half century including an outrageous pick up for six off his legs.
