About the team

In 2019 the Middlesex Seaxe Girls League re-organised the age groups and introduced an Under 10 Girls League.

North Middlesex Under 10 Girls Cricket
The Girls Cricket Teams include girls from Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate and East Finchley. The Girls Team started with an open coaching session on Saturday mornings in 2011. In 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 North Midd played in the MCA Seaxe Girls Under 11 League, and Lady Taverners Under 11 Competition. In 2015 North Midd played in the MCA Seaxe Girls Under 13 League for the first time, and in 2017 North Midd played in the MCA Seaxe Girls Under 15 league for the first time.
Under 10 league matches are pairs cricket and played with a soft ball.

North Midd Girls are supporting This Girl Can, Sport Englands campaign to encourage more girls and women to play sport.

North Midd won the Under 11 Lady Taverners Competition and finished 3rd in the Under 11 league

2015 Girls Cricket Season
In 2015 North Midd played in the Under 11 and Under 13 MCA Girls Leagues. The Under 11's finished as undefeated champions of Under 11 North Division and Under 11 Girls County Champions. The Under 13's finished s third in North Division.

Two girls joined the North Middlesex CC Academy.

Sportivate funded Piya Yadav, a Level Two coach who helps to coach Middlseex Under 11 Girls, to coach North Midd Girls for six weeks.

2014 Girls Cricket Season
North Midd Girls are the 2014 Girls Under 11 County Champions.
North Midd Girls won the County Final and finished their season as Joint Champions of North Division in the MCA Seaxe Girls Under 11 League. We have a gallery of photos from County Finals Day. The East Finchley Archer put the Girls Team on its front page.
Some of our girls are now Under 12's so we also played some Under 13 Friendlies.

On May 5th North Midd Girls were Runners Up in the Lady Taverners Under 11 Competition and scored more runs than any other team in the competition.

On the morning of Sunday 8th June the Girls Teams, for the first time, took over both North Midd pitches. They played Under 11 and Under 13 friendlies against Stoke Newington and all girls who wanted to played in one of the matches.

Two girls have joined the North Middlesex CC Academy.

Sportivate funded Kinnari Naik, a Level Two coach who plays for Middlesex Under 19 Women, to coach North Midd Girls for six weeks.

2014 County Trials
North Midd was also deeply involved in the trials to select the the Middlesex Girls County Squads. We hosted part of the selection for the Under 15's. North Midd club members were North Division Regional Manager, and Regional Age Group Team Managers. Six of our girls were selected to play Regional Cricket and two were selected to play in the Middlesex Under 11 County Squad.

2014 Girls Indoor Cricket
This is the first year in Middlesex that there has been indoorcricket for girls. We helped to organise, and played in the first MCA Girls Indoor Cricket Festival.
North Midd Girls won the first Under 11 Girls Indoor CricketMatch in Middlesex.

2013 Girls Cricket Season
The Girls Under 11 Teams record was:
• County Runners-Up
• MCA Seaxe League North Division Runners-Up
• Lady Taverners Under 11 Competition Runners-Up
We also commemorated the centenary of the Suffragettes burning down our pavilion by staging a weekend "Celebration of GirlsCricket". This included England Womens International Beth Morgan taking part of a coaching session at our ground in Crouch End for our girls team.
