OK, we were beaten, but we have improved a lot

Lara getting an absolutely beauty first ball wasn't exactly what the doctor ordered, but Laura and Heidi did amazingly well to see off the next six overs bowled by two very impressive Middlesex bowlers. All of our later batters had their moments until the innings subsided a little with two run outs. Esme and Amani tried their very utmost to make inroads on the North London top order, because there was a chance of causing them problems if we could get to their other batters, but it wasn't to be.

We are not a bad side; we have just come up against a couple of really good ones in the early part of the season.
