The title and a celebratory fish and chips on the line at a beautiful evening in Hampstead. Gabriel and Edwin turned up to support the boys – great efforts boys.
Nathan won the toss again and inserted Hampstead on a green one and it’s fair to say the boys confidence was high, maybe too high.
Hampstead were 38 for three after eight overs and mentally the boys had their order in at the Fish Palace. Will bowled two jaffas in three balls snicking off their opener and then clean bowling their number three. At this point the fielding and concentration fell apart and we allowed Hampstead to reach 118 (two more runs would have earned them a bonus point and possibly second place). The remaining wickets were shared between Sebbie, Tom. Nikhil and Danny.
To be fair to the boys they batted well making short work of the target. Alex started slow and then accelerated. Will showed maturity mixing big hits with driven singles. Target achieved with five overs to spare.
Lime and Soda Moment – Will’s big six
Man of the Match – Gabriel’s music app.
