NMCC's Academy system and player pathway has delivered a long list of North Midd’s 1st XI and representative players. 4 of our young players turned professional in the 2020/21 Season and have since played many games for Middlesex County Cricket Club. This is an unprecedented number within Middlesex. It’s immensely satisfying for us as a club and it is something that is widely recognised within County Cricket.

Our Academy system consists of two levels - an Academy Squad aged between U15 and U18 and four Performance Squads, in similar age groups to Cricket for All, each with distinct qualification criteria including technical ability, attitude and commitment (including, at older age groups, commitment to play for North Midd’s Senior Saturday League teams). Selection decisions have now been made and invitations for the Academy and Performance Squads have been sent to the selected players.

This system is intended to be dynamic and to provide opportunities to move between the selected Academy and Performance Squads and the Cricket for All Squads with Paul Frost and James Parslow being involved in all the sessions and making ongoing assessments.
