3. Junior Practices

Days / timings for 2024 outdoor practices are:

Sunday mornings:

o 9.00 – 10.00 - Minis (Reception and Year 1)
o 9.00 – 10.30 - Boys U11 and younger
o 10.40 – 12.00 - Girls

Monday evenings:

o 17.30 – 18.50 - Boys U12 and 13
o 19.00 – 20.20 - Boys U14/15/16/17

NB - Start times may differ in early season to avoid fading light – more info will be given nearer the time.

Notes on outdoor practices –

o Please try to be at the Club 5 minutes before the start-time - our coaching teams are keen to make the most of the time by starting promptly.
o Format – a typical Coaching Session will involve a mix of game based and drill-based practices. Please ask the Coaches if you would like access to on-line materials illustrating the drills so your Junior can practice during the week.
o Allocation - Juniors may be allocated to practice squads by reference to their stage of cricket development and experience as well as age.
o Signing in - please ensure that your Junior has signed in with his/her Manager/Coach at the start of each session.
o Weather/Cancellations - If a session is cancelled because of bad weather, we will send a message out via Pitchero.
• If the weather is doubtful on a practice morning and no message has been sent out, parents should assume training is on, albeit they are welcome to check with the relevant team manager that the practice is on.
